Trotter Members Assess Growing Influence of Tea Party Movement



The NAACP's July 2010 resolution that the Tea Party should expel the racists in its ranks led to a retaliatory posting of an out-of-context video that resulted in the firing of Agriculture official Shirley Sherrod. An embarrassed Obama administration apologized to Sherrod.

The Tea Party movement has been the focus of commentary by Trotter Group members since the debate over the administration's health care reform bill, which was ultimately successful.
